Facade Installation
T&D manages and carries out facade installation for specialist facade contractors, manufacturers and main contractors. Most of our work is on residential and commercial high-rise buildings, alongside refurbishment schemes and high-end retail projects.
We install systems and materials supplied by our clients, working to their drawings and specifications.
Unitised and Stick Curtain Walling
We install unitised facade panels and stick curtain walling, including bracketry, glazing and seals. Where components are delivered separately, we carry out the required on-site preparation and assembly before installing the panels.
Windows and Doors
Our work includes aluminium windows, sliding doors and glazed entrances, together with associated frames, ironmongery and perimeter seals. We fit and adjust the opening elements ready for inspection and handover.
Shopfronts and Retail Facades
We install high-end shopfronts and retail facades, including glazing, entrances, framing and decorative elements. The work calls for careful setting out, consistent alignment and protection of finished surfaces.
Rainscreen, Stone and GRC Cladding
We install ventilated rainscreen systems, natural stone, glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC) and metal cladding, together with their support systems, insulation and associated details.
Recladding and Facade Refurbishment
We remove and replace existing cladding, glazing and related facade components. Replacement works are carried out to the client's refurbishment details, with the sequence and temporary weather protection planned around the works.
Structural Glazing, Rooflights and Canopies
Our specialist glazing work includes structural glazing, glazed roofs, rooflights, canopies, atriums and glazed link bridges. We install the glass and associated supports to the project details.
Steelwork and Architectural Features
We install structural and secondary steelwork for facade and glazed-roof packages, including brackets and support systems. Associated works include balconies, balustrades, fins, louvres, copings, flashings and soffits.
Fire Barriers and Weather Seals
We install specified cavity barriers, slab-edge fire and smoke barriers, EPDM membranes and perimeter seals as part of the facade package. Installation checks and records follow the project requirements.
We also undertake selected small-scale interior fit-out works for our clients.
Supporting Services
We provide the management, logistics and specialist support needed to carry out the installation on site. The team, equipment and responsibilities are agreed for each project, whether we are managing an installation package or providing support for particular works.
Site Management and Coordination
Our site managers and supervisors plan the installation sequence, coordinate the workforce and work with the client's team and other trades. This includes method statements, risk assessments, site briefings and progress reporting.
Surveying and Setting Out
Our surveying support covers installation setting out and checks of control points, cast-in channels and the supporting structure. We record the relevant measurements and report discrepancies to the client's team.
Site Logistics and Material Handling
We organise the receipt, unloading, checking, storage and distribution of client-supplied materials. Deliveries and movement to the working areas are coordinated with the installation programme and available site access.
Access Equipment and Lifting Operations
Where included in our package, we arrange and provide powered access platforms, spider cranes, vacuum lifters and glass-handling robots. We also provide lifting plans, appointed-person services, lifting supervisors and trained operatives to suit the work.
Quality Checks, Snagging and Handover
We check the work as installation progresses, maintain inspection records and deal with snags before handover. Cleaning, protection and close-out documentation are provided to the agreed scope.
Mock-Ups and Testing Support
We build facade mock-ups on site and at test centres for visual assessment and performance testing. When appointed, we also carry out specified site tests and provide testing assistance on our client's behalf.
Inspections, Maintenance and Repairs
Our teams undertake facade inspection, cleaning and maintenance works on behalf of our clients. This includes glass replacement, window and door adjustments, sealant repairs and other agreed remedial work.
